Default Prelude Problem?

I have a 1993 prelude with an h22a engine swap its a 5 speed manual but whenever we try to start the car it burns up the ecu. We have never had the car running we baught it this way and have tryed to put in a new ecu and tryed setting up new grounding wires checked all fuses and still nothing. Has anyone else had the same or similar problem or know a fix for this?

Is there any common places where it could be shorting out or would the best bet be to just re wire it?

Thats a good question.

Check ground and power lines first on the ecu

We already added more grounding wires also would a p-28 be the correct ecu? Im not very knowledgeable about cars yet but if we can get this fixed it will be my first car.

No it is not. Unless you have a chipped ecu with a base map for the h22.

Im assuming that you dont have that, in that case the ecu you need is a p13.

Adding more grounding to the ecu is not the direction I offered.

You need to make sure that all the power wires are giving off the 12v signal, and that the ground wires are giving the negative 12v.
