Corey's car is coming to the shop Thursday. Work to start soon, we'll keep you posted. May actually do a 4-2-1 and a 4-1 for the first round.
im very very interested but i need to be sure that this will still be streetable. i was confused with the last posts that it wont bolt up to the stock cat? so that means that i wouldnt be able to use my cat or a normal cat back exhaust like a greddy either?

The collector will be 2-1/2" on either the 4-2-1 or 4-1 so no it won't bolt to a stock cat and you wouldn't want it to. You'll need a new 2-1/2" cat and then mod your B pipe to bolt to the cat outlet. If you want improvements the whole system needs to be changed.

Here are some ITR pictures.
This is the stock B Pipe flange. It actually measures just 1.9" OD/1.75" ID and then opens to 2.25" OD

The following is how I build my 2-1/2" cat backs for the ITR and this is also the same thing I do with my adapters.

Here's an adapter that measures 2.50"+ ID at the inlet and 2.375" OD at the outlet to be used with 60mm systems.

Here's a picture of the 60mm Tanabe system for the ITR but it has a 2" OD x 2" long bottle neck at the start of the B Pipe. This pictures shows the bottle neck cut out and the above adapter installed. This alows for a smooth transition from the 2.50" ID outlet Carsound cats to any size B pipe. This simple mod yield a 4whp gain on a stock ITR with just an AEM, Toda Header and 2-1/2" cat.
The customer was driving the car with the cat and Tanabe as received for 2 weeks prior to the mod. You can see where the exhaust was depositing on the face of the Tanabe flange due to the mismatch. This causes turbulence and some people report hearing a "whooshing" sound.

I am SO psyched about this! With this header, and a few other goodies, i should be able to run from ITRs with ease.. Well, I hope anyways..
Guys, if Dave can make something up with a 2.5" collector, it will really unleash the potential of this motor, all preludes are stuck with a 2" bottleneck... Start saving..

good luck with the header, I might even need one some day
hmm ok. so if i were to go with this system, id need the header, a new 2.5" cat, and an adapter of some sort to use an aftermarket exhaust (either Greddy SP or RS*R) to work with the cat.
now, will this larger header and bigger cat greatly affect the sound of the vehicle? or will that ultimately depend on the muffler and exhaust?
also, corey.. you should dyno the car before you put the header on, and then again afterwards, to show the gains.

I'll leave all technical questions to Dave...
it'll be interesting to see how well a 4-1header works on a H22A.
I don't think there has ever been one available. I'm excited to see the results as well. Good luck guys

well i just read: http://www.team-integra.net/sections...sp?ArticleID=2
i am also concerned that if i use a regular aftermarket exhaust like greddy sp (60mm?) that the exhaust will bottleneck the header/cat and make the gains negligible.

*cough* custom *cough*
also, a 60mm pipe will less of a restriction the further away from the collector you get, due to the exaust gasses slowing down & cooling a tiny bit.
(one reason I've never understood why the PE goes from 60mm to 70mm, instead of 70mm to 60mm

yea custom would be nice, I just didn't wnt to get rid of my Mugen catback. However, I'll see how the power gains turn out first from the R&D they do on this guys Prelude.

If you have a 60mm system don't get rid of it yet. While I think a 2-1/2" system would be better you shouldn't be too bad off with the 60mm as long as you make a smooth transition from the 2-1/2" cat or test pipe to the 60mm tubing. However, if you are building a system to replace your stock one then go with 2-1/2".
smsp, so basically you'll also be providing the adapter for the 60mm exhausts like you do with the b18 headers. reason is i already have a 60mm exhaust like most above.
if the adapter is included or an option for a bit more i'm definitely in. i just wouldn't want to waste all this money on a header and have turbulence going into the b-pipe.
are you taking deposits yet? and will this fit correctly on a 4th gen. prelude h22a.

BTW, I'm glad my wife and I have had all our kids because I think I'm going to damage my family jewels getting in and out of this car. I'm a bit bigger than Corey and it's almost comical watching me getting into and out of this thing. Once I'm in, my eyes are level with the roll cage and my head is almost hitting the sunroof (no headliner either!). I could never drive it on the track set up like this. How tall are most of you guys who drive these? I have a friend who's 6'-3" or 6'-4" and he's thinking about getting one of these and I just don't see how he would fit.
