Anyone seen a 5th generation prelude with a Nissan 240 front or type-R conversion front? Im not sure from what year the 240 headlights are, but they look like the type-R conversion but meaner, slanted appearance. I want to see how it looks so post a site or picture or input.

 

About 2 months ago I came across the perfect photo on the internet somewhere of what you're looking for. I wish I remembered where I saw it because I'd send it your way. Not to give your hopes up, sorry But I will say it looks awesome!!

best front end conversions i've seen were skylines. ive seen gtr33 and gtr34 front end conversions, and thats the way i would go.

sounds like youre talkin bout some 240sx lights. maybe some s15 lights would be nice

You guys see the new import tuner has a wicked 5th gen Prelude with skyline
front and mucho work on it.

 

preludes look fine the way they are. why bother wasting money converting it to something else????

Not to be hatin or anything... but them headlamps on the 5th gen prelude, they are dam ugly... i would have bought one but couldnt get use to the look... so i settled for the 4th gen... but i am gonna put in itr headlights tho hehe... so i think it's not being ricey about wanting to claim that you drive a type R or a GTR... just converting so you make it looks better... that is my opinion... plus the pride of differentiating yourself from the crowd... ^___^

 

well put...my words exactly...thank you kenshi23..i would have bought a type-R or 240 if i had wanted one, its the fun of modifying the car and standing apart from the crowd.

i knw the color looks different under different lighting.. it has purple pearl in it. Hard to capture it. (along with other pearls)

those pictures were taken at the import show off in houston back in sep. the car looks okay up close but in pictures it looks good. The body kit is overkill when your right up on it!!! I give it an overall

why not JDM onepiece headlights? they look tite and are cheaper than typeR headlights. converting to look better???? yeah, sure.
and "them headlamps" on the 5th gen are cool, different from other cars. that is what you wanted right? to be different?
anyhoo, conversions are pointless IMO, and a big big waste of money.
but, do whatcha like... your car, your money...

If conversions wernt so damn expensive (and...if i actually owned a 5th gen) I would do it!!

I personally would remove the amber from the headlights (if possible..)

I have to admit that the S13 conversion looks clean but I never understood why people want their Hondas to look like Toyota's, Nissan's, etc. Makes no sense to me.

totally agree. i got a 98 prelude and i want to swap the frond end for something else so bad. It just doesn't look good.

To make it realistic though, solenoid operated Pop-up headlight covers, possibly over generic lamps on a 5g Prelude would be a vastly more realistic option for those desperate for a different look, or with damaged original lamps.
