Power Window Problem
My fiance has a 1999 Honda Prelude. Just a few months ago he had started to have a problem with the passenger window. It started out just by rolling down crooked so he rolled it up and didn't touch it cause he was afraid of something happening to it. Then a few weeks later he had attempted to roll it down and It made a pop noise and the plastic that holds the window broke, from the force of it trying to roll down. Now it does not roll up or down. It just makes a click noise when he tries to roll it up or down. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what it might be. He took the door panel off yesterday to see what might be wrong with it but can't figure out what the exact problem is. He does think that it might be the passenger side relay, but I looked online and can't find anything on it or where it is located. He says it is that box that is located on the passenger side kinda under the dash. But I figured if it was that then why would it still make the clicking noise.
Does anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like the window regulator or the motor went out but if you go to a Honda dealership and get the parts it should come with the regulator and motor all in one and all you have to do is unbolt the window from the old regulator and unbolt the old one then slap the new one in.
but if you want to test and see if the wiring or switch is bad since you have the door panel off unplug the window motor and there will be to wires just plug in battery voltage into one of them and a good ground which could be your battery for both if you have long wire for that. and if the window goes up or down then the motor is good but if it doesnt move switch the battery and ground and if it still doesnt move then the motor is burnt out or the regulator also.

More than likely it's just the window regulator which is only about 50 bux.
Take the door panel off then reconnect the window switch and try to
roll it up and down and watch whats happening as you do it.

Alright so today he hooked the window up to a battery and it rolled up just fine. It doesn't roll up though if you try and use the switch. Would it still be the regulator/motor even though it is rolling up when it is hooked to the battery?
