Default Power steering speed sensor

When I was doing my engine swap this weekend, I broke the mounting tab off of the power steering speed sensor, and need to replace it. The two hoses that connect this to the power steering system will need to be removed. Once I have the new unit installed, how do I go about bleeding the air out of the power steering system? Is it as simple as running the car, and adding fluid as needed?

Top up the reservoir, start the car and turn full left to full right 10 times or so.

Anybody know about how much the power steering speed sensor costs? Anybody have an extra one they want to part with?

The power steering speed sensor is the one that the vehicle speed sensor mounts on top of. It's on the back side of the transmission, kind of under and behind the shift linkage. It's about 6 inches long, with a helical gear on one end that goes into the transmission casing, and 2 hoses coming off of it that feed into the power steering system. I don't think that this is the one you are thinking of, but thanks anyway.

I did get it sorted out. A friend has a whole spare JDM tranny off an H22 he sold me for 100 bucks. I'm pulling the sensor, anybody need a cheap transmission ;-)

I know the car it came out of, and as far as I know it is just fine. I'll be bringing it home tomorrow, so I can take a look and let you know then, if that's OK. I don't know the code off hand, but it's the non-lsd JDM transmission that came bolted up to an H22A. I'll get the code off it tomorrow, and let you know. It will not come with the power steering speed sensor, as I need that to finish my project :-)

I would PM you about it, but I don't think that trial users can do that.
