Power steering
if anyone knows about what kind of power gain to you get by removing the power steering on a stock 4th gen h23 prelude?
Edit: O ya and i forgot. Is it ok to steer around town without it? Would it still be a practical daily driver?

Many users have reported practical handling results after the removal process. The key factor is to properly loop the lines so that the rack has the ability equalize the pressure on both sides. Looping the lines makes it much easier to turn than just removing the belt. As far as the gain I really couldn't tell you.

iirc, i saw a dyno chart indicating 8whp.
a full manual conversion is much better than just looping the lines. I have tried both and the full manual is MUCH nicer.

i did this on my DD, and i have no intention of going back. Going down the road, you won't even know you didn't have ps. Around corners in town takes a little more effort, but still a one-handed operation. Backing out of a parking spot can be done with one hand, but is easier with two.
My girlfriend can drive it just fine without ps. nuff said.
