Default Please HELP!!!! engine trouble

hey guys,

i need some real help and some rewally good advice on the problems of my lude..i have a 95 SI...i only got it a couple of months ago ad im already havign some trouble with it....so my idle was really high (like 1400, soem people said that was normal for a lude), so i took it upon myself to to and fiddle wit the idle, which i was told was by the throttle in front of the fuel injector
..at first i moved it up and saw that my rpms were low but the car wasnt pulling as i driving..and i noticed that my throttle cable was being loose...so i moved it back and got the cable nice and tight and tightened the bolts back.
but that gave me more problems..now when i take off from first the car doesnt pull and as soon as it hits about 2900 rpm-3000 rpm it has a sudden burst of speed..then drops back down to only 2500. what do i do?
2nd problem
as im drivin and when im in the middle of traffic i go to stick my car in neutral and my rpm are at a whopping 2200 in mid drift..and whne i completely stop then it drops back to 1500.

guys i really need some help fixing this car..its my baby and i dont know what to do with it..i dont even know where to start

please help!!!!!

well it sounds like your throttle cable is to tight. loosen it up so the cable at least has alittle play.. also you adjust your idle on the top front of the throttlebody. it takes a flat head screw driver. it should idle around 750 rpms.
