Icon3 Please Help!

Me and a friend just installed an msd ignition blaster coil pn# 8207 it started up and then the tach was just bouncing up and down, and i gave it gas and it died, we checked the voltage and it is still producing voltage to the coil, we then plugged in the stock coil and all it does is crank. It doesn't start, we also checked the fuses they are still good, what should i check?
Thanks,
Ian

Stock coil did work before, the ignition control module had to be replaced now the car runs but now the tach doesn't work, any ideas? The car is hooked back up to the stock ignition coil also.
Thanks.

check if ignition wires. see if they are sitting on a coolant line or the thermostat. that happened to me before which made my cluster go all crazy. make sure no wires is leaning on a hotspot

I think there was a miss matched wire when my friend hooked up the ignition control module it was dark so he couldn't see much of what he was doing and i wasn't around. So i have to look at it again, will keep this thread updated.

Good. Although I like OEM for anything possible.

3 basics.

you need fuel, fire and compression for an engine to start. You are missing one or two. Find which one you are missing and determine the ways it would stop working. Just because you have fire going to the coil does not mean your igniter is firing the plugs or that you are getting fire to the plugs.

OEM coil > MSD coil.

Your 49 dollar coil and unknown wiring job just cost you more money to fork out for an igniter (cheapest option). Good job trying to skimp.

Well first off i didn't wire it, my friend wired it, and then it didn't work it ended up burning out my ignition coil module, and my friend replaced it because he felt as if it was his fault, and it cost $113, so everyone is saying i should just send this msd coil back and just get a new stock one? And thanks for being a complete ******* Q16..it is so common to find this in Honda Guys, i'm not sure why either. This forum is here to help each other out, to offer the knowledge you know for the guy that doesn't know it, not to put them down and step on them...
