Default PLEASE HELP!

so i was driving my car on the access road, and all of the sudden it just shuts off.....pulled off the valve cover gasket and the timing belt still intact, i have an msd 6al ignition system not sure if it could be that, but i was also thinking it jumped timing? havent ran a compression test yet, but will first thing in the morning!

*also, i rolled it to the shell station, and tried restarting it, it hesitated but knocked kind of hard, then turned off ......

any help/advice would greatly be appreciated..

*engine is h22a4, 115,xxx miles

put one of the cylinders to TDC and check the teeth on the cam gears to see if they line up. If that comes out good then i would next look towards the MSD.

Check the simple stuff first, it's probably the POS MSD ignition. I know mine went out

Hook the ignition back up like stock, and then try to start it.

these kind of issues need to be taken in steps. Make a list of the possible problems, then start with the easiest to fix.

I cant tell you anything without you first doing what i said. Knock things off the list of possible problems before you go thinking something big is wrong.
