performance Radiator
my radiator went due to a rock i was wondering if fluidline or koyo make one for a automatic because it will fit my ATTS unit. if not can i drill holes and weld bung fittings for it ?
i believe he is asking for a performance radiator for an automatic car because those will fit his sh model because the atts system is in the way of most performance rad's for manual cars.
but i don't have any idea of the placement of the atts system, so i wouldn't know if infact a automatic radiator would fit better or not.
and both Fluidyne and Wysco make performance aluminum rads for 5th gens. fluidyne says their's are for manual transmissions only. wysco i dont know whether they have one for auto or not. you should contact both to see if they will fit the sh models.

The Fluidyne does not include the additional cooler for an auto trans/ATTS unit. You CANNOT drill and weld bung fittings to the radiator. The cooler in the auto radiator is separate from the radiator itself. The liquids never mix. If you want an aftermarket radiator, your best bet is to plumb in a separate cooler for the ATTS system.
A "regular" base model radiator will fit your car. A friend runs a Fluidyne in his SH, so it physically fits, you just need a separate cooler for the ATTS system.

That's not what he's saying.

The ATTS system is under the intake manifold on the driver's side of the engine. There are no ATTS components in or around the radiator.
The reason why he's asking about an auto transmission radiator is the SH uses the same radiator as the auto base Prelude radiator. Why? The auto trans radiator includes an additional cooler for the transmission, or in this case, the ATTS unit.
