Default Oxygen Sensor Replacement

I have a 99 base prelude model. My check engine light was coming on and i sent it to get checked out, they said it was my oxygen sensor light for my exhaust and that it needed replaced. The shop said 350 dollars just to replace it and that it was a 300 dollar module. I just wanted to know if anyone knows any prices and how to actually install it yourself and where the exhaust sensor is actually located??

Thanks.

greenbrad182 AIM if you want to IM me and talk to me about it for more indepth conversation.

my ngk one cost 86 dollars brand new. Its a simple plug and unscrew install. it has a plug on one end that you plug into another plug. then you simply put in the 02 bung (a little hole for the 02 sensor) and screw it tight. not sure what the torque is. its under your car on your header downpipe.

Just get universal's and you'll be fine. They cost $60 from Nopi, I've replaced both mine over 2 years ago and still going strong.

I got my o2 sensor from autozone for $65 I think. Harness intact and ready to go. Works fine.

I usually order from http://www.oxygensensors.com
I believe it may be the same distributor as Sparkplugs.com

you can pay them 350 dollars to do it

OR

you can go to autozone or kragen or whatever and buy the socket for 3 dollars jack up your car and do it yourself in like 10 minutes

they make a special socket that has a slit in it so you can just slip it over 02 stick the wire out the slit and it make the job a cakewalk.

but yes the stock 02 sensor from honda cost around 328 dollars or something screw that just get a universal they are easy to wire

Primary sensor by manifold, and secondary 02 sensor back near the cat.
