overheating issue

Default overheating issue

hey guys, does anyone knows why my car wants to overheat climbing uphill? and when i make a sharp left curve, the temp come back down. normal driving is ok. i've flushed the system really good, change thermostat and i'm not using antifreeze. thks much!

u should use antifreeze, although it won't move the heat away from your motor like water will, it lubes the pump, with out it you killin your pump!

Honda designed the coolant system to run 50/50 water & antifreeze. Straight water causes corrosion, freezing, and premature boiling. Are you sure the car is overheating and it's not just the temp gauge acting up?

i think my gauge is fine. before the temp goes up, the check engine light comes on. when i am driving flat land , its fine. damp, i better put some coolant in there. thks.

No. First you should determine your problem. If the CEL comes on, pull the code. My car has overheated several times and I never received a CEL.

check all hoses
radiator
the last time you change your water pump
fan
water level
i might be missing something

some guy on the forum told me there's no code. it just tell me to look at the gauges and my tuner told me the same. thks again . i've been frustrated with the problem for awhile.

check everything. no leaks, two new fans and working fine. except the water pump was 31,000 mls ago. thks though
