Ok. New ECU in...But it Throws Code 5???
I got my 96 p13 in and wired all up. I reset me ecu and start the car and it seems to be missing/running a little rough when reved to 3000rpm. It eventually smoothes out after a couple seconds. Then after a minute or two my CEL will come on and it is throwing code 5(map sensor Too high/too low). Whats the deal? I went over my wiring for the map sensor and all is correct. I check my lines for vacuum leaks, and even reset my ECU again, and it continues to do it.
Any Ideas???
Thanks, Mark

if you have a vacuum pump, apply vacuum to MAP, up to 30in/hg, it should read 5V
on a multimeter.you'll have to backprobe the harness to check it.

my engine is a 99, and my ecu is a 96 p13 (OBD2)..... my car idles all messed up (bouncing idle). But after the cel comes on it stops doing that. I cant seem to figure it out. Also when I drive it with the CEL on it hesitates until 4500 and then it takes off (even under light throttle)
Its not the sensor that is bad....cuz I replace it with the one from my civic and it did the same thing.....
