Default Oiling problem?

Heard something odd yesterday, thought I would ask on here to see if any one actually knows anything about it.

I dont know all the details since I am not a mechanic by anymeans. But, some one said that H series motors squirt oil up at the rods, and B series squirt down??
My question is, what I also heard was that, due to this process, the H series has a tendency to throw rods when increasing the boost since the oil is fighting the pressure of the pistons on the down stroke. or something like that...

any thoughts, or any one else ever heard of this?

I don't know too much about oil squirters but I know in most stock turbo engines they have them squirting the rods as to not blow. I don't believe that the oil is shooting at such a high pressure that it would cause any damage. What would shooting down be? At the crank? I am calling BS on it breaking rods though.

Well, I think this is blown a little out of proportion. All oil squirters target the piston skirt at a certain point, B or H series. Either way it matters not, because they d exactly what they say and "squirt", kind of more like a channeled spray, and believe me the they do not influence the movement of your rotating assy. They are there to aid in cooling and lubricating of the pistons friction surface at high rpm's. And thats it, there is NO downside to oil squirters.
