well i have a 4th gen and im using Wolfs head 10w-30 .lol

serioulsy though, use what ever oil you like. its its your everyday driver and you don't want to spend a **** load of money on synthetic then just buy regular dino oil.

if you want to make the switch then just start runinng a synthetic

I was using mobil1 10w30, but have decided instead to just use driveclean 10w30 and check the color after wiping the dipstick. I change oil whenever it starts getting dark.

Synthetic oil has a lower friction coefficient, so you pick up 2-3 whp. If you don't have any money, stick with the standard dinosaur oil, but change it often.

I love Mobil 1. I don't care if it burns off a bit more in VTEC. I believe it actually protects the engine better than anything else. Flame away none believers. It doesn't break down at higher temperatures like petroleum based oils. There are other alernatives like Red Line, Royal Purple, etc., but you can't buy them at Wal-Mart.

even if it is your daily driver, consider amsoil. I am planning on switching to it. THey rate their synthetic oil for 1 year/25k miles. Use their filter for this interval. With this all you have to do is change the filter once in beween at 6mo/12.5k. Saves money + higher protection.
