so since im rebuilding my whole engine. its gonna have fresh miles on it.
so is there anyway to reset the odometer reading?

 

I'm assuming you're talking legally, since it's illegal to just change the mileage on your odometer. I heard there's a way to go through DMV and they give you a sticker for your door jamb with the mileage before you reset the odo. Your chassis still has as many miles as it had before, so I'm not sure what you're accomplishing.

 

If there was just a way to do it, no cars mileage would be legit..

But Im pretty positive Honda can do this. They have a key. But they wont just do it. Its against the law.

 

You can take the mechanical ones apart and reset them. The electronic ones you'd have to find a way to hack it.

so should i just go buy a digital odometer or somthing and hook it up?

 

Or just write down the mileage when you put the new motor in and do some basic math if you want to know what the mileage is later on the motor.
