OBD1 Question
i've been doing some research on the vafc. i came across a thread discussing the ecu learning settings and adjusting them , but it was related to obd2 vehicles and i wanted to know if the same applied to obd1.
the thread is located here, http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/...99437.
i'm basically trying to determine the point at which ecu switches from closed to open loop and how to set my throttle settings accordingly. or if this even applies to obd1?

a) modify WOT tuning only
b) modify narrow throttle tuning too
Then you need to find out where the stock open-loop (WOT) throttle point is. In most OBD1 vehicles this is set to 33%. In most OBD2 Hondas it is higher like you found on s2ki.
There is usually no need to modify part-throttle settings on ANY car, unless it is highly modified and won't start, idle or run right without modification.
For yours I would set narrow throttle at 33%, wide at 35 or 40%, and then only tune on WOT settings. That is unless you have some serious fuel system or engine work done.
