After i jumped the code w/ wire i got code 7 + 41
i reset the ECU and code 7 (TPS) went away.
now i have 41 which is the primary O2 sensor, i bought a bosch universal one to replace it only to find that there's an unspliced one in there.. just wires hanging there held on w/ a ziptie. my question is, what do i use to splice the O2 sensor into? the OEM one doesn't appear to be there, so do i buy a used/bad OEM o2 sensor and just strip it for wires to splice?
and i found a oil leak coming from the tranny, there was a bolt missing. thats the PROBABLE cause of the leak right?
and for the people who are familiar with the laws in CA, even though the car was sold AS-IS I can get this fixed at his cost right?
Heres the situation:
-he lists all the pre-existing conditions but not the O2 sensor
-he hinted that the problem was probably the O2 sensor
-I find the O2 sensor is there but not spliced and held on w/ the same ziptie used on the front bumper (linking it to him)
if i brought this to small claims court, that should be enough to get an OEM O2 sensor installed at his cost right?
Thanks Honda-Tech
