Default Nuts for the header

Quick question, just got my megan racing header.. ready to do the install tommorrow. What size nuts do I need for the top portion of the header where it bolts to the block. I want to replace my original ones because they are rusted to hell!

The nut hex size is 12mm, but the bolt size is M8x1.25, IIRC. If you go to a store and ask for a 12mm nut, you're going to get something that's waaaay too big to work.

^ Exactly thanks, I've done it before by asking for a 10mm nut and getting something that didn't fit at all.

Make sure you get the same kind of nut that's on there now. Don't just get a regular 12mm nut. And to remove them, get the car nice and hot, and hold the back end of a candle to each stud. It'll suck the wax in and make it 100x easier to break them loose tomorrow

well...you took them off, so just take one to a hardware store, or auto parts store, and say, I need 10 just like these. Problem solved

The car that I am putting the header on is the only mode of transportation I have. I don't think that'd work out so great.

Anyways, I went to install it and couldn't get the down pipe to unbolt from the cat because the bolts are rusted to hell. I'm just gonna take it to the shop to get it installed.

I was lucky enough to have access to a lift when I installed mine, so I was able to get the bolts on my cat off. It's near impossible to do on your back

Yeah I couldn't get at it at the right angle.. wasn't even to fit my cheater bar under the car so I can break loose the nuts. I was disappointed.
