Default Need Major Help

Please Help... Ive just about had it with this problem...Jumped my car ...The car started fine and then shut off after about 20 minutes of idle and would not start up again...the batt completley died and its basically new. So then i jump it again and it starts...i notice on my vtec controller it goes from 14.6v to 14.. to 13.. and so on till it dies....i notice if i rev the engine it will recharge the volts....so i gave it some gas the the thing is intermitley reving about up to 1500 rpms then to about 500rpms very quickly like vrooom psshh vroooom pshhh vrroooom psshh felt like it was trying not to stall or something...the lights were dimming every time the rpms went down and when they went back up to 1500 they would get brighter....i was so scared and i just shut it off.....i had the same problem when i had my skunk 2 im installed and it was something to do with vaccum pressure...please shed serious light on my issues here thank you so much

time to check your alternator, take it to a decent parts place and they should be able to test it for you.

It's just a ground somewhere or the alternator...

Slow down....why don't you ask that guy which hose you need to adjust?

There are more than one ground wires. How did you 'check' it?

What kind of tester are you using? If it has colored lights it's probably crap, you would need to use a multimeter to check voltage.

Sounds like you have no clue what you are doing, so I would suggest either doing a little research on here about your problem or taking it back to the shop.

I would go get a multimeter then. What ground are you talking about? There are battery ground, transmission ground, valve cover ground and ECU ground wires besides all the other little ones scattered everywhere. Why would anything be 'soddered'? Unbolt the ground and clean sand the mounting point so you know it has good metal-to-metal contact.

Trying to read your 1st post again it sounds like you probably have a vacuum leak somewhere. Search for the official bouncing idle thread by 'mgags7' and try some of the fixes in there.
