I would stick with the "I am going to swap...." attitude. Click on red search for starters, click on archieved posts, than type in under search topic "H22 to H23"
Once you understand whats involved (and only if you have a workshop manual for your car) you can start ripping your car apart. Just label everything with masking tape or a numbering system, and put them individually in plastic bags. Sort nuts and bolts and label them aswell as the vacuum and fuel lines. Label all connectors in wiring harness. If you have any questions after you have researched all you can on your part, than fire questions away! We can't spoon feed you though or else you won't learn anything.
Good luck with finding someone to come do "it" for you though. That is the easiest way but if something goes wrong you're gonna wanna wish you learned how to do it yourself! Honestly though don't hold your breath. Hold on the horns though and get down and dirty, (reserve atleast a week straight by yourself for the full swap) and go get er done!!

that would be my dream. however i am not that handy yet when it comes to cars and i'm afraid i would just ruin it. I wish that could happen though.
That's the same way I felt when my DD (98 Civic) seized up. I was too broke at the time to pay someone for the swap so I manned up and went to work. I had a laptop outside with me at all times for my manual and some diagrams and what not. It went slow but I got it done and it has been running fine for 3 months now.
At the time the most work I had done on either of my cars was change the oil and put new rotors and pads on.
The mechanic industry would be in deep **** if people realized it's not as hard as it may seem.

Now i really would like to save a grand or so and do it myself. right now i'm gonna search around and look up what i can for how to. Christmas break is coming up so I should have a bit of time. I just have to find a way to get to school and back for the next 2 weeks or so. Next question. Anyone in phx that would like to help me out with this swap? Not do the work but just help out in my time of need?
