sorry this is a noob question but how do you get the center console off? and is that all you have to take off to put on a new **** boot?

 

please someone. . .im afraid if i pull to hard it will break. . . .

 

go to auto zone and buy a prelude guide or whatever it is called and it will tell you how to take anything apart on your car.....

 

save the money an search how to on the page or google.com

 

ughhh give some details fool. what yr is it? and what part of it?

if its a 92-96 there will be 8 screws (i think) on the side of the console where cd player climate contorol etc is. unscrew them then pull down hard on the silver ring under the shift **** to release the boot from the **** unscrew the **** and slide the upper center console off. then you can just unhook the boot and put new one on. reinstall in reverse steps.

 

thanks for the info but i have a 2001, sorry i shouldve said that earlier. anyone wanna help me with this? do i still have to take off all those skrews as if i was taking off the whole center console? i just wanna take off the top part.
