need help ASAP
my brakelight/horn fuse keeps blowing.. as soon as i put a new one in it blows automatically car dont have to be on or nothing i havent had a car all summer because of this someone please help i need to know where to look and what to do.
well obviously somewhere a wire is touching something that shouldnt be. Id check all of your grounds. Have a little look under the dash and under the hood.
Check your brake light bulbs. In fact, go ahead and change them all. I had an issue like your on my old 89 Probe. After trying everything, I took it to a shop. It turned out to be one of the bulbs.
Hope it works for you.

I assume your using a fuse of the correct rating ? If so suggest you disconnect the wires to your horn making sure they don't touch anything then try a new fuse, if it dosn't blow then this could indicate a fault causing a short inside the horn.
try trouble shooting by disconnecting the horn or brake lights one-at-a-time. This will help you figure out which one is causing the short.
Once you do that, trace ALL wires back. For all you know, you could have a tiny section of the wire with some of the sheath missing and it's bumping up against something metal.

that's a good idea, too

ive disconnected all 3 brake lights and both horns, still blew on contact. and i know i dont have any reverse lights.. but when i got the car the reverse lights didnt work, but the brake light prob started out of no where. yes i was using the corect amperage rating, ive even put a 30 in there and it still blew on contact

Like The_Sober has said, you probably have a small area of damaged cable sheathing that's in contact with metal causing this short. I would not try a ghetto fix or you could cause an electrical fire, best bet is take to a good auto electrician they have all the circuit testers and equipment, that can really narrow down the problem making it easy to find and fix safely.
