Need help!
Just refinance '92 Lude... got enough money back to do some body work & a paint job... BUT having a really hard time figuring out what body kit to get & what color to paint the car! Plus, kinda on a tight $$ situation - $1400. Anyone have any suggestions?
what performance mods have you done?
i would recommend against the body kit unless you have a steady flow of cash to fix it with (if you buy fiberglass).
the majority of suggestions on h-t will be wings west kit or mugen (good luck) or mugen look alike. get the body kit you think looks best, just be wise and don't buy fiberglass.

OK well I have actually narrowed it down to 2 different ones, but neither of them are Wings West or Mugen...
I like the Combat kit or the Invader kit... I like the Wings West big mouth kit (I have looked at those) but a little too much $$$$, hoping to spend more $$ on the paint job than the kit (HOPING!)... what is it about the fiberglass... why will I have to fix it all the time?
And as to the JDM look - can't keep what I got cuz for having a red car the bumper and most of the rest of the car look pink! (it's over 10 years old now... lol)
Any suggestions about paint?

fiberglass is not strong enough to withstand ANY type of impact. wheteher it be a animal, pieces of 18 wheeler tire (got me
) or an empty 2 liter bottle of soda (if you hit right i'd bet money it will cause some sort of blemish, hole or otherwise).
its just a matter of time before you break a fiberglass kit, even if its a trailer queen. you might as well forget about a daily driver, the majority will break them before 6 months are up. IMO you are better off saving your money, get the car painted if it needs it, but 9 times out of 10 you WILL regret buying the bodykit.

I just bought it in 2000 - pd on it for almost 3 years now under my parents' names so now got it put through with mine & got a lower interest rate (got a job at a credit union... lol)
Don't throw a body kit on there. If anything throw a lip on there and throw the money under the hood if you want to put $$ into your car.
But your car is your car.
