My ABS Doesnt Work
So I have a 1995 honda prelude h22. stock.
And I know my master cylinder is going out, but my ABS light has been on since I bought the car.
I know my axles have ABS.
When I slam on the brakes the just lock up and slide.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

To get to your question: Your ABS is broken. That's what the DUMMY light is telling you. You seem to know you have other problems with your brake system but you ignore them and come to the internet to ask why "1+1=2". Read the service manual's troubleshooting section to get a really quick idea of what is actually wrong. You could also pull the ABS code to see what it is telling you. Of course those might have been too obvious...
Can you guess where to start when the oil light comes on?
How about when the coolant/temperature light comes on?
What about the little light that shows a door open? Any guesses there?

Dude ANY, and I mean any question someone asks on this forum can be answered in a manual or from a mechanic.
What is the forum for?
To get quick help from people with experience, and you obviously dont know anything because all your posts are BS like this and your always so rude.
Dont post if you gonna be like this.
I dont know about the ABS system.
AND I dont have a manual.
Next your gonna say go buy a manual.

Any to re phrase the question.
My brother owned the car before me and the master cylinder was fine for a long time so the ABS isnt broken because of that.

You don't need to buy a manual, a google search will come up with a site that is hosting pdf downloads of nearly all honda manuals. I know I helped you before but I'll only spoon feed so much, this forum is an unofficial honda and acura technical resource database, says so at the top of every page.

Nearly everything has been covered, all you have to do is search.
Just to let you know though, you don't need ABS at all, especially in this car that uses a very old and outdated system that wont always keep the wheels from locking.

yeah, But I wanna fix all the little problems before I sell.
And I almost ran into the car in front of my today cuz the road has a light layer of sand on it from the snow and my brakes just locked up and i slid like 15 feet and almost hit the car in front of me lol.
But I mean Can I just get a couple questions answered?
Could it be the ABS unit if there is one? And I searched for ABS help

"You're killing me, Smalls."
Step 1: Pull the ABS code.
Don't post again until you can provide that.
Step 2: Read the manual about your specific ABS code. Follow the troubleshooting recommended by the manual.
IF said troubleshooting does not cure your problem, that's when you should post again and seek further assistance.
Since you don't understand why this is so annoying, let me put it in a hypothetical. Let's say you want to bake some chocolate chip cookies. Are you going to call up a baker and ask every step or are you going to find a recipe on the internet?
So now you've downloaded the recipe/instructions. Are you going to ask the person next to you what you should do first instead of just reading those instructions?
Nearly everything you need to know is on this site, and most of it is in the FAQ that says "99% of your answers are here". You just have to get off your *** and go find it.

So I just wanna ask one more stupid question.
So I go get a computer to plug into under the dash like for the CEL? And it will tell me a code for the ABS?
Ill do that and then look online for what it can be and get back to you guys.

the problem is that there are 1000s upon 1000s of people that have issues. if everybody came to this forum and asked the questions that could be answered by simply downloading a manual or looking through the FAQs, there would be VERY little help given because the forum would be overrun with posts like "):", "HELP!", "it be all jacked up", and my favorite, "need help". some may seem like jerks. i definitely thought kronn was when i first got here. i wouldn't even post questions because i knew i could find help on the internet. his issue, like a lot here, is that they want you to try to help yourself. if you come here obviously having gotten as far as you can, they are more than willing to help.
I was just trying to help since no one alse did some show him how to pull the code take a picture and show him I couldn't do it cuz I was at work and the only help that I could come up with was that thread people should not be rude like most of you are help him out if he hasn't found out how to pull the code when I get home I'll take a pic and show him since no one alse wants to do it not everyone one is mechanically incline he is one of them so he needs more help than other people
Thanks man I appreciate your help.
So Im just wondering.
you know know how when you have your Check Engine light on you can go to your local auto shop they give you computer, you plug it in and it gives you the code?
Can you do this for abs?
plug in a computer and it tells you a code for your ABS?
I mean im pretty experienced with working on cars, just dont really know how to diagnose something. =[
