Monitor installed in dash
well i had a really good idea (in my opinion) that would really allow me to use it a lot of the time. I'm really into hardcore/metal type of music, so I thought i would just buy a bunch of my favorite band's DVD's that have music videos and live stuff on them. That way it would be like listening to a CD while having an image going at the same time. I think it would be nice to have for myself anyway, maybe others wouldn't use it in that way.
yeah...there are some auctions on eBay that sell DVD-Rs full of music videos. Sounds like a prett kool idea to ride around not only with music but w/ the video of the music playing as well.
it would be very difficult to hook up a navigation system to the tv.. most navigation systems are built into a screen already i thought.. i dont think they sell navigation systems and then say go buy a tv to hook it up to.. and also, still pointless to have navgation.. if you are going to be going somewhere far enough away where you need navigation, i would rather be watching a movie and use my tv for that
hey i have a portable dvd player and the dvd part is broken
so i took it apart and the screen is 7"widescreen anyone know if this will work it is also connected by something to some speakers ill get a pic soon

im about ready to put a 7" vga touch screen in my center console and put a laptop under my seat. that way i'll have all the advantages of the cd/dvd plus added benefits of in-dash wifi internet
plus navigation, and i'll never have to loose another cd/dvd again

Thats what I had. I had a 7" touch screen that I molded into the dash under my headunit. Had a laptop under my seat and a playstation where my glove box used to be. Was getting ready to upgrade my laptop to have navigation and a bigger harddrive and then my car was stolen and they stole the laptop, playstation, headunit, subs, and amp. Luckily they didn't steal the 2 tv's I had.
Here is how it looked

Let me know if you have any other questions that I maybe able to help you with.

that is so SICK nice but
that it was stolen
would a ps2 slim fit in the glove box</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thanks man! Luckily though I got the car back in pretty decent condition minus some of the electronics but all that can be replaced.
You want to fit the acutally ps2 into the glove box? That I'm not to sure about, all I know is that the glove box is tiny!
I thought about making another fiberglass mold for a slim ps2 but the cover flips open so that wouldn't work

The 7" touchscreen has 3 video inputs, 2 regular video inputs and then 1 vga input. So when I have it on video 1, I can have playstation on both screens and then I switch it to CPU, I have the computer on the screen and the small 5" is left on playstation.

Here is a 8" touch screen installed in my 95 lude. I have a carputer in the back trunk
Plain and simple. A alu sheet is placed over a lcd panel, covering gaps. This is the biggest screen I could put in there
