Default MOD please

Yeah I wanna know how the hell my topic. Do 18s slow me down? how is that not technical..?

How about

Does the rotating mass of an 18 inch rim slow down the vehicle that i am occupying. Should I acquire a 16 inch rim to help my rotation accelerate.

with 18's, you will be slower as you are increasing the rotating mass at each wheel - thus needing more power to rotate your wheels. Also, if they are not 18x205x40 tires (stock is 15x55), you will be effectively changing your gearing. If the tire is higher than the 40 series (say a 45 series), then the acceleration would be slower even if the 18" wheel was the same mass as the stock 15"s.

In other words, larger wheels may look cool, but make you slower unless they weigh less. If you look at some of the serious prelude draggers, you will notice they are on lightweight 15's.

once again, anyone can go in a straight line, the prelude is not a drag car to start with. If you wanna drag buy a civic and gut it. Preludes are comfortable and handle like a dream, who cares if 18's rims slow you down a bit they look pimp.

in his two posts, he's recieved the same answer 7 different times from different people.

If you can't catch on that 18's slow you down, then you need to be somewhere else. Like the special school they take you in with the short bus.

I locked and moved the last ones because it started going to the age old question:
"Y0, which is more bling dogg... 18's, or should I run some JDM 16's and be mad fast."

OK? Does everyone understand that this place isn't the place to talk about what is bling and what is pimp?

I think we do.

Also.

For the 5th time from ME personally:
Yes, 18's will slow you down.
