Map Sensor blockoff plate
I'm not sure what the advantage could be.
But it sounds equal to jamming a large rod up your *** and twisting.
The map sensor is like the spinal cord of your ecu....lol why the hell would you block it off, and if you did, you wouldn't need a plate....lol
The only time when you might not want a map sensor is with itbs.....keyword might

Couldn't be much clearer than that honestly...you want to block off the MAP, then buy the plate.

because newer hondas have the MAP on the throttle body, and older hondas have it bolted to the firewall attached with a vacuum line. For example, if you installed an integra type-R throttle body on an accord euro-R intake manifold in a 4th gen prelude. You now have 2 map sensor locations, one on the throttle body and the other on the firewal. If for whatever reason, you want to keep the one on the firewall, simply block off the one on the throttle body.
is it OK to leave the map sensor on the TB in its spot? or it has to be removed and block the hole?
that what I see on my TB (H22a swap) as well with no wire connected to it... I am using the map sensor on the firewall right now...

thats fine to leave it there and unplugged. the blockoff isn't to be used to completely get rid of a map sensor, just allows an obd2 throttle body to be used on an obd1 car without relocating the map from the firewall or buying a new map sensor for the throttle body.
or like someone else said if you've upgraded to a gm map sensor than this can be used to plug the hole or just clean it up a bit.
