maybe..... Check to see if your exhaust is hitting the heat shield anywhere. If not that listen under hood till you narrow it down to a certain area. Need more info to help you out bro.

will do, my friend might help me, so i might be able to jack up the car and have him look for that sound for me. But in side the driver seat, it sounds like it's coming from under the hood

Sounds like a rattly heat shield to me too. Sometimes the cat will start breaking apart on the inside and rattle like that too, but I vote heat shield too. Try tapping them with a wrench to see if it's te same sound.

My bet would be the heat shield also. My old 240 did the same thing.

it could just be a bad cat i had this problem.......when i would start the car and accelerate the exhaust would rattle, replacing your cat isnt exactly cheap tho so make sure if you think thats it

Also you could double check the heat shield protectin the alternator from the header. i had a similiar problem with a rattlin noise, thought it was the exhaust and found out it was that dam heat shield!!

i had a similar noise on my bb6, but it wasn't the heat shield or exhaust like my mechanic thought, my timing belt tensioner broke and my timing belt was bouncing off and hitting the cover.

Ok so, my friend help me jack it up and found that my flex hose (i think) is broken. But it was too early in the morning so he didn't really try to find the exact problem. I'm bring it in to the shop tomorrow and let my mech look at it and fix the flex hose
