lsd question?????????
well i juss read the chart that m2a4 tranny dun have lsd, so then wen i do the swap, h22a with tranny, and upgrade to lsd,($300), does it suppose to make lotta cluck cluck cluck noise and the whole car shake like crazy when i turn the steering wheel? my car is doin that...is that normal or what? thanks
hehehe i ask my mechanic and he say the bearin or watever that is is grippin so it make that noise and it shake the car, but once it gettin really hot, then stop shakin and the noise is very less, but what im worry is that in long term is my axel gonna mess up or my tranny gonna be mess up or not
i didnt install it myself, so iono wat is figure 8
but yea did the drain thingy and refill it up and still the clickin noise is there, but does those clickin and shakin gonna effect the trans or the axel in anyway in long term??? and while your at it, how come lsd outside cost around +$800 and the one come with the swap only $300??? cheap kind??? juss wondering...

i'm assuming that this is the OEM honda diff found in the m2b4, in which case it's a torsen of similar design to the ITR OEM diff and the quaife.
As far as the clicks go, torsen diffs aren't supposed to chatter (vs. clutch type diffs, which do) and aren't subject to "break in procedures" aka figure 8's, since there are no clutch packs to break in.
however, when you tires are in a state of low grip, they diffs tend to make a sort of chucking shaking clicking sound/motion--not exactly sure why. This occured with a friend's ITR diff, and when he replaced the tires, went away. Hasn't happened with my quaife yet, but i usually have newish tires on the car so i don't know if it'll ever do it.
AFtermarket diffs like the quaife and kaaz are more expensive because they're a) new, b) well warrantied, c) aftermarket products w/o high demand. The OEM honda diff is a solid unit and while i'd rather have a quaife for the lifetime warranty--the $500 savings and the general reliability of the OEM LSD make it a solid choice.
this is assuming you've got an OEM diff and not some crappy psuedo diff like the Phantom Grip.

it doesnt come wit the trans, i have to ask the guy to put it on extra, it 300 buck, and it a m2a4, i believe it not a lsd trans stock, right??? and yea, the axel is in place tight and stuff, and the clickin is seem to be mostly on the right hand side

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this. Are your CV joints still sealed up? While installing the diff, they could've messed up one of your CV joints. It definitely sounds like a CV joint failure though. Have a mechanic check it, and pick up a rebuilt axle from advance auto for $80.
I made a huge mistake when i ordered my engine and tranny, by not getting the lsd with it. Is it possible to get the oem lsd and install it, or is it a whole different transmission setup?
