LSD anyone?
Looking for a very good limited slip differential. Getting sick of the one-wheel burnout and bad cornering traction.
JDM Prelude VTEC's come with a LSD unit, does anyone have one of these?
How would the JDM Prelude LSD compare to a unit from Quaife or Kaaz? Which is bettter, Quaife or Kaaz?
Has anyone tried Phantom Grip?
thanks!

I believe that the JDM units are made by Cusco (at least I think the 4th gen was) and I'm not sure if they are gear driven or if they are a clutch pack type LSD. They should be comparable in quality to either the Kazz or Quaife units. Personally I would get a Quaife if I had the time or money to tear down my tranny.

Not really. The ATTS unit only is active during cornering and changes the power to the wheels depeding upon how much slip it sees, like and LSD but only in a turn. At least that is my understanding of it.

hmmm...this was my reason for trying to find an SH over a base model, LSD. you'd think they would program LSD into the ATTS anyways, I mean why not, its basically there, so I just assumed it acted as a lsd. anyone know for sure on this?

But remember the ATTS could be useless if you decide to go with Turbo or a Super. I believe that the ATTS shuts of whenever there is a CEL or whenever the MAP detects boost or something.
I agree with Gabe and Blueshadow. The Type SH only has ATTS (active torque tranfer system) no LSD. The ATTS acts like LSD only on corners. But like BlueShaow said ATTS does not like spikes in the powerband once it sense it the ATTS light goes on. So force induction is not ideal for the Type SH. Just summarizing everything up. hehehe
