ok got all my CEL's cleared up then went out to try vtec. revlimiter at like 7000 and felt like no vtec. is this limp mode. running an h22a with a p13 usdm ecu. oh yea after rev limiter the 21 vtec thing (that would explain vtec not working).

 

No vtec, check engine light, rev limiter at 7000rpm yup thats h22 limp mode. A few things to check, oil pan see if it has a dent in it. Happend to me I wasnt getting good oil presure blocking the pick up. Also happend once because I was running a VAFC and somtimes it would throw it into limp mode. Fun stuff good luck

 

Yea I do have a big dent. I have some other things I am going to try befor the oil pan. rightnow i dont even have pins holding the wires in they are just kinda cramed in the femail spot where the ecu plugs in.

 

Wow ya that could be, and the oil pan is a bitch to take off. I think it took me like 2 hours.

 

I am lucky enough to have a lift to use. I just had the oil pan off befor I put the motor in. I hit the dents out some but prob could still use more.

 

when you did not have oil presure what vtec code did you throw?
