Default Lights on Warning

I keep leaving my lights on and my warning chime thingy hasn't been working for a few months now. What should I check? Also I noticed that when a friend of mine checked my computer, the is a wire connector there that is not connected to anything. Could this be the problem?? After he did this, is when it started to Not work.

plug the wire in and see what happens. Otherwise check the little switch in the door jam and make sure thats not stuck or something.

thats the problem. I do not see where the plug goes. I have been looking and I don't know where or what it goes to. That is why I was looking for help. The manual that I have doesn't show (or I couldn't find the info).

Does the dome light come on when you open the door?
Reason I am asking is thinking it might be the door sensor.

Could be the chimer (don't remember real name) IIRC it's located near the under dash fuse box.

Did it stop when your friend was messing with your ecu? Ask him what he did...

the dome light comes on. I haven't talked to the friend that did it in about a year. I haven't had a chimer since probably that long. I only noticed it didn't work when I left my lights on a couple of times and someone told me they were on.

That plug looks aftermarket. I have a similar one on my aftermarket fog light harness.

Your chime might be toast, it is in the underdash fuse panel.

my interior fuse is good and I am assuming that the wiper one is good too since wipers are working (its raining here)
