Default lights after acceleration

I was driving down the hwy the other night and hit it to pass some slow people. When I got around them, I noticed that my check engine light had popped on, and then a few seconds later, my ATTS light popped on too. The car is running fine, but this isn't the first time this has happened to me. Anyone know what's up?

Could be a million different things. You should check to see if you're throwing any codes....

This is the second time it has happened, my boyfriend has an OBDII scanner tool and we just erase the codes and the lights go away. It didn't happen immediately after we erased the codes the first time, but obvioulsy it does keep happening. haven't tried to reset the ECU.

Also, I have a vtec controller.....could there be something there that would be causing the lights to pop on?

just a VTEC controller? or a VAFC or something like that? check your wiring on it...if its not completely covered in electrical tape or whatever you like to use to cover wiring then it could be shorting out and throwing codes. What code are you getting?

It's the Fields VTEC controller and I don't remember what codes we got the first time this happened. I'll let ya know on Friday what code it is.
