Leaking Coolant From Back of Engine, Need Help Finding Source!
Alrighty; I am not sure exactly when this happened, but here's the background:
Around the 4th of July I had to replace a coolant hose because it popped on the highway. It was the hose that runs from the passenger side of the head to the back of the motor.
A few weeks ago, I hit a large recessed drain that ripped a hole in my oilpan and crushed the secondaries on my header's downpipe. This is when I noticed the problem.
When replacing the oil pan, I noticed that there was a very slow leak coming from behind the motor. Coolant was dripping off of the oil cooler. I thought it was the oil cooler, so I replaced it. It is still leaking.
Are there any other coolant hoses on the backside of the motor, or anything else that could be leaking? I am going to go home and check the hose clamp on the hose I replaced to make sure I put it on tight.

check your water pipe, that connects the block withthe head, its the metal pipe, maybe the oring got disloged , after a while the orings get brittle and will still seal but if they under go stress it can crack
check the rubber hoses that are connected to the water pipe, and check if you can see if the uper or lower half of the water pipe is wet, im guessing uper seal that goes tothe head.

Check where it seals around the water pump and the thermostat as well as the thermostat and all hoses that lead off of it... And also check the oil cooler and the rubber hose from it again one more time to make sure you sealed everything up tight...

with my custom water pipe, i had to trac a leak down back there, and damn its tight, you can barely see anything, mine turned out to be a lose clamp on my joint of my 2 water pipes,
but i would check thermoshtat housing, .. usually the leak starts up high, and rolls down teh water pipe and then seeing as how the water pipe practically touches the oil coller it drips onto that and off.

Yeah when I first put my motor together coolant was leaking form the thermostat housing down the water pipe and down the oil cooler, making me think it was the oil cooler, luckily I figured out that it was a pinched o-ring where the water pipe and thermostat housing meet, was not fun to take everything back apart though yo...
