Default Koni Yellow differences?

I have a full set of Koni Yellows from when I had my BB4 but now I have upgraded to the Type-S and sold the BB4, I took the yellows off as I didn't want to sell the car with them...

I notice on most websites the Koni Yellow kits are listed as different part numbers for the 4th/5th gen ludes.. What are the differences? Will my 'old' koni kit work with the Type-S or are the damping ratios etc so different that it isn't worth messing around with?

I know the topmounts are different as the Type-S has the factory strut bar but that isn't a problem....

5th gen and 4th gen have different valving as they weigh different and the corner weights are probably not the same.

Ok, I will probably be better off selling them and getting the proper 5th gen kit then.....

Springs are going to make the most difference with suspension.
You can use the Konis, just figure out what you want out of your car so you only do it once.
Must be nice to buy a TypeS if you wake up and decide to......

If I did use them I would get the ground control kit before I put them on, seen a lot of good stuff about that so it sounds like a killer combo. I'm just concerned about the different part numbers when buying the dampers seperately and wonder what that translates to in real world differences. If I can find some 5th gen konis for cheap maybe I would be better off going for ones that I KNOW are right...

The Type-S wasn't so much of a 'well I just got out of bed... what to do.... buy a Type-S!' thing My GF reversed the BB4 into a wall which pissed me off a LOT, instead of fixing it I decided to sell it and then agonised for ages about what to get.. eventually decided to go for the Type-S when one came up for sale on PreludeUK.

The BB4 is faster/more wild but the Type-S is a WAY nicer car and handles 290385823598 times better.

Get the right shocks for the application. Springs are important, but the dampers are more important because they manage the springs.

FYI -- the rear koni yellow shocks are the same for the 92-96 and 97-01 Prelude -- they use the same Part #'s

the fronts use different part #'s so you would just need to get those and install them all.

It's not a question of figment, it's the valving.
