Hey I need help knowing if my car clocks kilometers or miles. My odometer shows my speed in kilometers with the mile conversion really small under the kilometers. Is there any way to know for sure? Thanks.

Oh also I havent driven the car in about two years, at least not consisitently, and there is white smoke coming out. Is this normal? Thanks

 

well if your car clocks in KPH then the odo will be in Kilometers

 

Well what I mean is that my odometer shows the speed in KM, but does that also mean it clocks in KM instead of miles? Sorry for the confusion. I was looking for a pic but havent found one. thanks.

 

well you can check the vin to see if it was a canadian prelude or european, etc

the cluster is all basically one piece so if its a km p/h then it will clock in that.

 

Or just drive one mile or one km and you will figure out what it rolls over as.... would take about 30 seconds to do. LOL

 

if the main units of the speedometer is km, then your odo will be in km as well

 

I guess it is in KM. Thanks for the help guys. This just helps me determine how many miles the engine has on it. Oh and if anybody knows, how would the vin tell me where it is from. just asking. thanks
