is the Jdm type S is like the equivilent to the Sh motor of course with some differences? And im wonderein if i were to swap it into a eg6 how would i setup the shift link and stuff i heard you hadda cut stuff.

 

The TypeSH engine uses the same block, tranny, and ATTS unit that the JDM TypeS engine uses. So yes, a TypeS swap would be exactly the same as a TypeSH swap in terms of size, shape, and fitment. The TypeS engine has several internal and head changes that account for the 20hp rating difference between it and the TypeSH.

Ive heard otherwise...the type s block is the same as the 4th generation blocks with the closed deck .The Sh (h22a4) block was only made for the american cars.

 

Not true. The TypeS has the same block as the US TypeSH with the oil filter location changed from the Base 5th gen and 4th gen version in order to accomodate the positioning of the ATTS system.
