In a Jam-- Need help...
Im in a jam, I got the tranny out (auto) but it has the same size bolts as the manual flywheels(WHAT Im having a problem with)
Im having a problem with geting my auto driveplate(flywheel)bolts off the crank. Nothing Looks rusted, However, My ractchet is rounding on the 12 point heads, and before i screw them up I need advice.
16MM is too small 17mm appears to be to big because its slipping off... What can i do to get these off? I have a whole set of new bolts to be installed so Whatever it takes to get them off Ill do it.

Are you using a 12pt socket??
Usually those bolts are put on with lock tight.... I'm not sure what helps get them out other than tons of force...
Try getting a long pipe to put over the ratchet for more torque.

they are 12 pt 17's. i would recommend getting a different quality socket that is short so that there is less side-loading when applying pressure. If that still does not seems to work use a 12pt 17 wrench. good luck
