Recently on my way to work, shortly after turning on my headlights, the lights on my climate control and the dash lights (digital dash) flicked back to its daytime non-headlights-on state. Man, that sounded weird. Ya know how they usually dim when the headlights are turned on and the lights on the climate control come on, well, noneof that is happening now.

I've got a 95 Si, and just recently installed a new radio (not sure if that could lead to the problem). I checked the fusebox by the pedals and the one under the hood but didn't see any blown fuses nor anything that really looked liked it would be the correct fuse.

The dimmer dial next to the cruise button still work. Ideas? I searched but didn't really find anything except dash swaps...

Took radio out, no change. Still no clue as to what the problem could be.

 

Aight, I've look around some more and haven't found any wires touching or anything. Anyone ever have this problem? Surely someone in the history of Preludes have...just like the impossible to get off fuel filter...

 

sorry man only thing i can think of is the dimmer is not going past the click phase when turning it to the right...

sound wierd sorry but hope you get what im saying
try unplugging the dimmer switch and re-plugging it..
or grabbing one off another lude see if it works..
make sure car is off

other hten that cant really think of anything
dont know how the dimmer is wired on those lights exactly
