Default intake question

hey i recently just installed my cai. underneath the filter theres an hole where the air is suppose to come out from, but theres a tube inside of it. i took off the plastic cover under my car by the front right tire and i found that the tube was a lot more complicated than i thought (connected to a bunch of other stuff). im wondering if i am suppose to take that tube out, so more air can come through? thanks guys

take it all out and run the vacuum line back to the intake manifold and cap it off or you will idle funny.
