I was going to swap out my ignition coil into a friend's car to see if his coil was causing his problem. The coil plug wire popped off of his coil with no problem, however, mine seems entirely different. How do I take this wire off?

 

pull it off dude. it comes off

 

Gently work it out. Don't just yank our you risk ripping the plug off the wire

 

It doesn't even appear to be the correct wire set, that or its a fairly cheap wire set; previous owner. Pulling on it does nothing and if I pull on it much harder, as InvaderTrax mentioned, it will just rip the wire from the plug.

 

So the wire won't come out of the green part? If it's not a tight fit the spark will have to jump a gap and that can melt things like plastic and metal Might be welded in there...

 

Yup, wire will not come out of the green part. Its a very tight fit... can't get the damn thing out.
