Idling Problem
so i think im just going to sell or trade the car as it is and take a loss, possibly for a nice clean integra. had a guy stop by today with a nice gsr he might trade me.
ok its been awhile but i still havent been able to figure this idling thing out, its driving me NUTZ!! Next thing im about to do is swap the intake manfifold, i have another throttle body off an older prelude but need a vaccum type map sensor if i want to try it. can anyone help??
Well, I am not sure I would give up....do you have your PCV hooked up? Also checking the throttle body to see if it is all the way closed might help. Vacuum hoses punctured or unplugged? Basically check everything...then check it again...
Still seems like a vacuum issue to me. The little bit of play in the 6mm bolt when you
install the balance shaft belt is normal.
I'm pretty sure that is your cold start valve which raises the rpm's until the coolant
heats up. Probably not the issue with your car though.

FINALLY fixed the problem, swapped out the top half of the intake and throttle body from an h23 and the thing runs PERFECT!! well at first it didnt, kept blowing the fuse to the ecu, here i bought one of those tps sensors off ebay for like 25 bux, dont do it!! Swapped the old tps in and it works fine!! Car is now for sale!! Well has been but bumping the price up!!
