I need Help: problems with my lude.
So heres the deal. I decide i need a new clutch, i go ahead order an exedy organic race clutch and ACT streetlite fly. I take to a "Honda/Acura specialist shop" and shell out the cash. Everything seems to be good(clutch and fly), the next day im driving home from work the ATTS light comes on. In addition on the way home i smelled a burning smell. Sure enough i jack up the car and there is oil on my downpipe/header,since the piping gets really hot the oil is burning/smoking. In case you didnt know its a 1997 type SH. I took it back to the place that installed the stuff, and they claim that only honda dealers have the computer to access the ATTS codes. Needless to say im furious and really sick and tired of this car. I have a warranty from these clowns for 12 months on their install, so i might have to become mr. jerk and haul these clowns to court. In any case any help would be appreciated, im more concerned about the oilt tho. My summer just keeps getting better and better
thanks
thanks

the oil drain plug for ATTS is right above the B pipe. they probably didnt seal it all the way or lost the white washer. either way its probably got no more fluid in it.
is JUST the ATTS light on? or is the CEL on as well? if its JUST the ATTS light then you have an ATTS only preoblem. engine is fine.

pulling the code should be the exact same as pulling a CEL. but if i am incorrect then just take it to honda to get the code pulled. shouldnt cost much if anything.
Chapter 15 (ATTS) of the 97-99 Helm Manual, Page 15-16 (Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) reads the following.
11-14 - lateral G sensor
16-19 - steering angle sensor
21-25 - wheel sensor
29 - data link connector
32 - back-up light switch
33-34 - MAP Sensor
35 - referance voltage
36 - engine speed pulse
41-43 - PGM - FI communications line
45 - ABS Down
51 - Fail Safe relay
52-53 - left and right shift solenoids
54-56 - linear solenoid
57-58 - oil temp sensor
61-66 - oil pressure sensor
67-68 - ATTS Unit (these codes are only detected in the ATTS function test)
71 - steering angle sensor
72 - different diamater tire
73-76 - yaw rate sensor
77 - ignition voltage
78 - ATTS control unit
79 - ATTS control Inhibition
hope that helps a little.
