Default how to remove the cruise control?

I'd like to get rid of my cruise control stuff under the hood. I don't have cruise any more, as I have a momo steering wheel.

do I need a new throttle cable?

Man, it's dead easy. If you play with it yourself for a while, you'll figure it out.

The vacuum activator and everything comes out as a single unit. You just need to unbolt it and unhook the electrical connector and vacuum hose. Cap off the open vacuum port. Then you'll need to remove the cable that runs through the firewall. First you have to unhook the cable from the gas peddle under your dash. After that the grommet that goes through the firewall takes a half turn and then pulls right out with the cable and everything.

After that it's just clean up. You have to fill the hole that's in your firewall now. I have some gauge cables running through that hole now.

Saves you maybe 5 pounds. Definitely not alot of weight.
