Default How bad is this?

Hi to all members. I have a newly swapped H22 jdm into a 2000 accord coupe 4cyl manu.I just dynoed at 157whp with 138lbs trq and was told that these numbers are a little low (the head was recently ported so we were expecting close to 170whp).The mecanic there told me I should get better numbers once I have the H22 throttle body and intake on there. He told me that during the swap they had fitment issues because of the cruise control wires.I plan on losing the cruise If I would be sure of gaining more than 5whp.....here's the question; Can anyone "guess" how much my accord 58mm throttle body and intake is holding me back as compared to a complete H22 with throttle and intake. Thanks

Firstly, losing the cruise will gain you no hp at all.

What kind of dyno was it on?
Where was the head ported?
Any other mods?

And as far as the 58mm tb, thats 4mm smaller, so its a big difference, but i doubt it will make up the 13 whp that you expected.

It ran on a mustang dyno with no other mods besides the head being ported by Tom at TK raceheads.Apparently he's one of the best in north america.

I swapped an h22a1 JDM into my 93 lude si.
I dynoed @ 177whp 152wtq.
cheap intake
DC 421 headers
custom exhaust 2.25"
Magnaflow exh (for the flow, ya know)
Cat
no A/C
no aftermarket TB
no aftermarket IM
93octane
16-1/2 deg BTDC

Somthing to consider...the powerband on A/T cams is diff than on manual trans. Therefore, my USDM M/Trans cams are with my JDM (formerly A/T) H22.

hope it helps

Thanks for the reply.I was wondering on what dyno you did your run on because those numbers seem interesting with the mods that you have.By the way I also have a manual tranny (lsd) everything stock H22 except the throttle body which is 4mm smaller (accord) and the accord intake which is still on there. All this is making me question the port job.Are you planning on getting a 2.5 exhaust line because I heard that the H22 downpipe is 2.5 therefore it's best that line matches this size.thanks again for your input.

Stock H22a TB is 60mm, so 2mm smaller.

Mustang Dynos read lower than dynojets, so I'd say your numbers are in the right range..

I agree they are lower, but I guess the question is, how much lower.

the extra 2mm will not give you 5whp more.....you got an average number for a basically stock h22...live with it.

Make sure your secondaries on your intake manifold are opening.
