help remove ac
1. Get the system evacuated.
2. Loosen the belt on the compressor, or cut it. You'll need a new one either way.
3. Unbolt compressor, all lines (one high pressure, one low), condenser (looks like a small radiator), etc.
4. Remove evap from under dash. (all screw locations are pointed out in the manual)
5. Measure around the crank pulley and alternator pulley with a string, and buy a new belt that will fit.
I think that's about it. It's extremely self explanatory when you look at it.. can't really screw it up. Just post up before you remove anything you're not completely sure about.

I would just like to add, try driving in the rain with out AC. Does anyone know how to keep your windows from completly fogging with out it? Because I sure as hell can't figure it out.
^ yeah i had that problem for a while when my a/c was stuffed. The only solution
i found was to keep the drivers window down a bit, which is f%&ked cause then
some rain comes inside, but it definately helped. Couple of times i still had to
wipe the windscreen inside with a cloth.
OP: as for the a/c removal, follow the steps above and just take your time and
slowly remove each part of the system being careful not to remove anything
which is not part of the a/c.

There has to be a way, earlier civics didn't have AC and they don't fog as bad using the defrost function. I know the AC dryer filters the moisture in the air, but am I missing something?
