I was planning on gutting my car on a 5th gen. I have heard it will send the car into safe mode and that it wont. i called honda today and they said it might send the cel on thats it. I was curious if anyone has done this.

Gutting your car and throwing a CEL?

This is like asking if your exhaust will be louder by switching from a Pioneer head unit to a Sony unit.

2 completely different worlds. Just as long as you don't touch the wiring and such you are fine.

yes i believe it will throw a cel due to the secondary 02 sensor.

 

noone ever heard of it runnin in safe mode?

 

i'm pretty sure if you throw a cel your car will go into safe mode. however i'm not sure if thats true for all cels

 

if you put the senosor outside of the exhaust pipe then it won't trigger a cel will it?
