My gen 5 prelude headlight is starting to get yellowish and dirty. Does anyone know how i can remove the headlights? i have searched all the posts but all the DIY seems to be on older models.

 

its the same principle with the newer models. I do suggest however, instead of sticking the headlights in the oven, to use a heat gun on low setting and put it where the bulb goes in. Seen to many horror stories on how people left their headlights in the oven to long, and now they have a puddle of plastic on a cookie sheet.

 

whenever i did the diy black housing i didnt even need a heat gun.....that was mainly cuz of the fact i did it in the middle of summer when temps were 90+ degrees, but if its fairly hot where u live, all you need is patience (sp), a flat head, and a razor blade, but just take your time and break the silicon seals w/ the razor blade and slowly use the flat head to open it up

 

Try Meguiar's Mirror Glaze and a fine grit buffer and it will clear it right up.
