Default HELP! Misfire problem

I have a 98 Honda Prelude Base Model. Im having a really difficult time with my car. I can start the car just fine, drive it for about 5 mins and then it will start misfiring really bad and then stall. THEN i have to wait a few hours before I can start it and do it all over again. It started when I was cruising on the freeway. Wasnt racing or pushing it hard.

I have replaced the following:
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
Ignition Control Module
Ignition Coil
Distributor Cap and Rotor
No signs/symptoms of a Head Gasket and the engine stays cool.

Please help me! I am going insane.

hopefully you don't have an aftermarket MSD set up? I had one on my h22, and had to keep replacing coils because they are junk.

are you throwing any codes?

Well i always have a light cuz of my test pipe but im waiting on a friend, if he doesn't flake like usual, to come read the codes for me. My dad says its acting like it has vapor lock but its near impossible because its fuel injected.

Get your codes checked and we'll have to go from there.

Im waiting on my friend to come pull them for me since I cant get it to a shop to pull the codes. A very simple and easy way to explain the issue is once at operating temp my car acts as if its running out of gas. At which point it bogs, misfires, stalls and wont start again until its cooled

maybe main relay or fuel pump? next time it does it check to see if your fuel pump is coming on. if you pull your back seat out you can get to the plug on the pump to see if you are losing voltage to it.

I wouldn't replace anything and start throwing anymore money into it untill you know what your codes are.

I figured it out. Ran the codes and it came back as TDC intermittent. So basically its my crank position sensor or my timing is off by a tooth. Ill check it out tomorrow but theres no reason it should have jumped/. Thx
